Lego Block Printing
Thursday April 9, 2026 1:00pm - 3:00pm PDT
Think outside the box with Lego printmaking - an endlessly reconfigurable way to create art! Whether you want to design something abstract with lines and shapes or bring your favorite animal to life, the magic of printing with Legos is that you can rearrange and reinvent your design as many times as you like.

In this session, you’ll learn how to create and align layered multi-color prints without the need for special tools. We’ll cover how to use a brayer and printmaking inks to achieve professional-looking results, plus how to mix colors and experiment with gradients. You’ll head home with your Legos, a collection of your own prints, and the skills to keep creating long after the workshop ends.

Up your color game! Color Palettes Beyond the Obvious
Saturday April 11, 2026 9:00am - 11:00am PDT
Do you always use the same colors in your work? are you quilts/products/artwork nice but basic? Following some of the exercises of my book "Color Curious" (Chronicle Books) I will teach you fun and unique ways to push your color game and discover color combinations you had no idea you'd love. In this workshop we will play with trinkets, we will mix paint and we will leave with a bunch of new color palettes to use in your next creative project. We may have time to make a few quick illustrations with your new palettes or you can do that later.
