Patch It Up: An Embroidered Upcycling Project

**Bring clothes, bags, hats, or anything you want to customize. Non stretchy natural fabric works best (canvas, cotton, denim, etc.)**

Got a hole in your favorite jacket? Is there an unsightly stain on your jeans? Or are you just bored of that plain t-shirt? Breathe new life into your old clothes and accessories with embroidery! Pick from an assortment of water soluble templates (or draw your own design), grab some thread, and get to stitching either directly onto your garment or on a patch for you to sew on later. This class is suitable for all skill levels. There will be personalized guidance on what stitches will work best to realize your vision with plenty of space to be creative and have fun!

A fun and whimsical way to use pyrography! We will burn designs on mini wood mushrooms, trees, and more for use in fairy gardens, dioramas, doll houses, or just for fun. We will cover the basics of pyrography, including tools and safety, then practice techniques on flat pieces of wood before burning on a variety of miniatures. I will also demonstrate how to embellish your wood-burned items with colored pencils and paint pens! Attendees will leave with several finished pieces.

Join us for a fun and lighthearted workshop where you’ll learn to make your own mini decorative piñata—no candy, no smashing, just pure creative joy! These charming piñatas are perfect for party decor, shelf styling, gifts, or adding a pop of personality to your workspace or classroom.

Using simple materials like cardboard, tissue paper, and glue, participants will design and construct a small, lightweight piñata in the shape of their choice think tiny tacos, pastel hearts, rainbow stars, or even your favorite animal! You’ll learn layering and fringing techniques to give your piñata texture and flair, and walk away with a vibrant, handmade piece of art.
