About me
Sam, raised in a family of creatives, pursued her passion for art early on. After earning a Fine Art degree, she launched a mobile art studio from her 1978 VW bus. Despite setbacks during the pandemic, she opened Propagate Studio in 2022—a space for workshops, events, and a pay-what-you-can art thrift shop. Sam thrives on inspiring others to embrace their creativity. Sam Matthews is a NJ-based “artrepreneur” who founded Propagate Studio, NJ's first pay what you can creative reuse center & outposts, and the ArtBnB. She also co-created Project Propagate, a nonprofit taking the creative reuse center on the road. Sam believes in the power of creativity and manifesting to transform lives and lives a bold, colorful, silly, ambitious life!
