In this class we’ll use the simple art of papier mache to craft decorative art for your home. Be your own interior designer while we make a simple serving platter, a vase or 3-dimensional wall art.
We’ll regroup later in the week for an informal second session - once your pieces have had time to dry - to paint and seal your decor. If you like, bring photocopies of favorite photos and/or decorative papers for collage!
Carly Helgeson is a lifelong crafter, sewer and artist. Working from her Oakland, CA studio, she whips up whimsical and functional decorative art for the home using papier mache. Her pieces are joyful and full of pattern.
